Toews - Dyson
Challenge

Did  you know that it took James Dyson 5 years and 5,127 prototypes to invent the Dyson vacuum? But that was just the beginning of his battle to bring it to market. One by one, short-sighted multi-national companies rejected James' idea. Even when they were satisfied that the technology worked, none of them truly listened. They were more interested in defending their own product - and making a pretty profit from the lucrative vacuum cleaner bag market.

There's a misconception that invention is about having a great idea, tinkering with it in the tool shed for a few days, then appearing with the finished design. In fact, it's usually a far longer and iterative process - trying something over and over, changing one small variable at a time.  Trial and error.

Do you have an invention that you would like to build a prototype for? Ever wonder if you have the patience and drive to see it to completion? We would like to challenge you to a game that requires you to "think outside the box".

Please click here to go to game.

If you are able to complete all 25 levels please take a screen shot once you have completed level 25 and submit it to us. For all submitted entries that have completed level 25 we will give you a Dyson branded gift. Good luck!

Instructions on taking screen shot:
  1. Once you have completed level 25 make sure you can see that window, on your keyboard press Print Screen (top row beside the F keys).
  2. Open your Paint program.
  3. Press Ctrl + V at the same time. (This will paste the screen shot into paint)
  4. Go to File and save the image as Level 25.jpg (make note of where you saved the image)
Please email the image, your name and contact info to toews.dyson@gmail.com
